The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Maybe it's just me, but Michael Vick being the most sought after quarterback in the National Football League is a bit ridiculous...isn't it?
There has been a long drawn out process in conjunction with the New England Patriots, or should I say Tom Brady and this whole "Deflategate" nonsense.
For the record, Tom Brady is being vilified for supposedly having a hand in the deflation of footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. A game that will forever go down in infamy due the fact that the Colts got their anuses handed to them. Had the Colts won the game, do you actually believe they would've complained about deflated balls??? But this has ballooned into one of the most talked about sports stories in history, I'm guessing it's the sign of the times being how I had a comment battle on you tube with this imbecile over why Brady deserved a harsher punishment other than what's stated in the NFL's own rules and guidelines book, for the penalty of tampering with balls which was $25,000. So this lovely individual goes on to state that WE want more for a punishment. I ask, "Who's WE???"  I now understand the WE are those whom Roger Goddell are trying to please by the apparent witch hunt(not really a witch hunt, just a complete waste of time) of Tom Brady.
It might be a reach but last time I checked, Michael Vick was a convicted felon and that's by the standards of the federal government not by a private organizations policies. Its like comparing the FBI to mall security...right! This league[NFL] that seems to bend when the public at large wants to crucify a player for not being an outstanding employee and upstanding citizen, tries to convince us that the integrity of this league actually means something, when any serviceable athlete, no matter his background, is able to obtain a contract worth hundreds of thousands at a minimum is allowed to be apart of this self-proclaimed league of integrity, I call BS! Especially when, now, this league is willing to go through hell and hot water just to get a four game suspension. But I don't blame the NFL only, some of the blame has to go to the Player's Association and their attorney's for making the WORST collective bargaining agreement EVER! They need to fire all association heads and their attorney's and hire all new people. The NFL is flexing its muscles and rewriting its own rules, policies, and guidelines almost like it's the 1940's.
Am I confused?...Only by the word INTEGRITY

Potentially Mine

potential-existing in possibility, capable of becoming actual; something that can develop or become actual.

Is potential realized by the amount of effort someone exerts or is it by chance, being in the right place at the right time?
Will or can we ever come to know our true potential? Or do we try to answer that by what others perceive of us?
By our own standards we measure potential by monetary success, academic success, and in some cases spiritual success. But where does the culmination of our potential truly lie? Am I to understand who I am and what I'm capable of through success or failure? The answer....BOTH.
Science teaches us, for every action there's an equal and opposite reaction. Given this fact, we must be aware of the fine line that separates each opposing force. While success is attaining a desired end. And through that process of attainment, it mat or may not involve work to achieve said ending. Failure seems to teach us more about our weaknesses or inabilities through the same effort or lack there of. The potential of success or failure is equal at all times and 'our' potential is realized in both no matter the subject matter.
It's apparent that effort is the key component, added with belief(or faith) to achieve your ultimate potential thereby obtaining success in oneself. As for failure, effort is the key component as well and in many cases, it's the lack thereof, combined with fear which tends to be the opposite of faith(belief) that will be the deciding factor of a successful failure.
So here's the truth, failure, due to your best(100%) effort will always give you a sense of success because of the peace of mind it carries with it. This is what(or should) drive you and push you to your ultimate potential. You are whom you desire to be, whether a great success or a successful failure, on any level.
THE KEY IS IN YOUR HANDS, TO REMAIN LOCKED OR TO UNLOCK YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL.

Super Bowl Bound.....?

Why even play one down of football? There are four teams that top most power rankings and pretty much every fans' preliminary predictions: Seahawks, Patriots, Packers, Broncos.
In various orders these four teams are who people expect to see at seasons' end vying for the Lombardi trophy, with honorable mention to the Colts, Cowboys, and Ravens. The Steelers had a decent go at it last season, the Lions are...well...the Lions. The Eagles just missed the cut and the Chiefs, Panthers, and Bengals all seem to suffer from stage fright. But in the NFL, much like all great reality TV shows, every year brings new twists with someone or a few somebodies stepping into the forefront.

There were a number of 7-9, 8-8, and 9-7 teams last season that not only could but will emerge to the tops of their division, respectfully. Leading the charge is the Minnesota Vikings who, with a rookie quarterback, a ragtag receiving core, and a backfield by committee, managed to put together an impressive 7-9 campaign where at least three of those nine losses could have easily gone the other way. Having a healthy Adrian Peterson, a legitimate number one receiver in Mike Wallace leading a now talented receiving core, an experienced Teddy Bridgewater backed by a tough Zimmer defense, the Vikings are poised to make it back to the playoffs and win the NFC north division for the first time since the Brett Favre "era".

Its been a long time...

Yes, I realize the length of time that has transpired since you last heard from me but I'm back now. I've been away, getting things together for a move to Atlanta, GA. And what a great time for me to come back into the fold, football season, baseball playoffs, and it seems the political stage is heating up as well. Great movies and new(some refurbished) television shows. I know you missed my melodious voice and winning smile but I will not only be making videos, I'll be writing more to stay up with the Jones's and Kardashians...
