Super Bowl Bound.....?

Why even play one down of football? There are four teams that top most power rankings and pretty much every fans' preliminary predictions: Seahawks, Patriots, Packers, Broncos.
In various orders these four teams are who people expect to see at seasons' end vying for the Lombardi trophy, with honorable mention to the Colts, Cowboys, and Ravens. The Steelers had a decent go at it last season, the Lions are...well...the Lions. The Eagles just missed the cut and the Chiefs, Panthers, and Bengals all seem to suffer from stage fright. But in the NFL, much like all great reality TV shows, every year brings new twists with someone or a few somebodies stepping into the forefront.

There were a number of 7-9, 8-8, and 9-7 teams last season that not only could but will emerge to the tops of their division, respectfully. Leading the charge is the Minnesota Vikings who, with a rookie quarterback, a ragtag receiving core, and a backfield by committee, managed to put together an impressive 7-9 campaign where at least three of those nine losses could have easily gone the other way. Having a healthy Adrian Peterson, a legitimate number one receiver in Mike Wallace leading a now talented receiving core, an experienced Teddy Bridgewater backed by a tough Zimmer defense, the Vikings are poised to make it back to the playoffs and win the NFC north division for the first time since the Brett Favre "era".
